Great post Xoria, and I agree with what you say about the kids. When I first started playing I was only 13 or 14...still very much a child. I remember how immature I was. Looking back I bet I was the biggest idiot playing fl. Now 4 to 5 years later I have changed a lot. Most of that change was brought on by adults who helped guide me to maturity. Which is why we adults should strive to educate the younger kids like you said.

You are dead on about the kids in battleships. In my younger years on one server I had 4 battleships characters. I did think that I needed them to be respected, but I was wrong. I had no rp for them I just had them to kill others. Now I realize that there is more to fl than pvp. Now I strive for just good roleplay as a player and group that does not seek to harm others....except for one of my chars. :P

None the less, even though I don't have 4 battleships now, I really don't mind. I learned that it his how you play your characters that matters, not what your characters have.

I try to do my share of creative roleplay. As many of you know I head the Grau Family and the Brennt brothers, and their story. I don't know if anyone likes it or not, but I am sure some don't. Though I can't think of anyone's rp that I don't like, but you are right about just not playing with those you don't really like. With over a 100 systems it isn't hard to avoid certain players.

Growing up is important for all of us, especially if you are like me and practically grew up with freelancer. It consumed about 95% of my teen years and as I go into adulthood it will still be with me.

It is amazing how time flies. It feels like just yesterday that I was in school during the day and being stupid after school...now, if all goes well, very soon I will be putting on the uniform and badge of a police officer. Time flies and we all age...we just need to be sure that as we age that we also grow up.
