Her ovaries... killed off...?

Jaden moved a hand to the areas where her ovaries ought to be in a vain attempt to comfort them. A woman's ovaries were a critical part of their reproductive health, the things that contained only set number of ovums for conception from the time they were born. They were a few of the delicate parts of a woman's body, and were to be treated with utmost respect for good reasons... This one being one of them.

She moved her hands back to cover her face as tears began to swell in her eyes. While the uterus lining might still be intact to facilitate artificial insemination, to tell a woman her ovaries were killed off was like saying all hopes of her of passing on her legacy were forever lost from her. It's long known that, should that pair of important organs ever be compromised, the woman was, for all intents and purposes, forever unable to conceive her children. "Well... at least... I have the option to... work as a lucrative call-girl, on account that... that I don't have to... worry about accidents, si?" She tried to laugh at her own joke, but the heaviness of the news proved just too grim for even humor to penetrate as tears slowly escaped through her fingers and ran down her cheek.

She came to Doc for hope to conceive, but hearing him say that was...

... Wait.

"Options?" She wiped away the tears and turned her head to Doc as she said, "What do you mean, Senor? You say there's still a chance for you to salvage my eggs, or something?"
