R.I.P. great constructor and engineer. He lived a very long life and his assault rifle will outlive him no doubt. I think that along with M16 the AK assault rifles become a symbols of the era. AK is even placed on some state's flag, heh.
As for "stolen": the Ak-46 was a copy of StG, but it wasn't entered any serial productions because the ministry of defense didn't liked it and he had to redesign the rifle almost completely only following the over all concept (automatic rifle with magazine type ammo). The Ak-47 and further variations have nothing to do with StG.
