giving the factions ( pirate factions ) full rights in their home systems sounds like a good thing to do. - every trader stupid enough to fly into omicron gamma with half his cargo of cardamine - just to fill the other half with artifacts deserves to die. - from a fighter as much as from any other defender.

such an agreement meets RP standards, but also means that mature RP is provided. - proper warning, and proper execution of whats done. if the rules could be revied that way - maybe the right to do so could be layed into the hands of the established player factions. ( yes, i would say - only official player factions, cause there is someone to blame if it goes wrong )

so - i think the THB , benitez, opg, lddlg should be allowed to stop a cardamine transport in gamma - even when they ... by coincidence .. only have a battleship out. - ... but the occasional "independend" corsair shouldn t be allowed to.

thats up to if the community can agree on such terms. - with that in mind, maybe it can be applied to lawfuls aswell. - that only lawful playerfactions can really execute 100% with capital ships - while independends, while being allowed to fly and use them - should not singlehandedly stop / destroy smugglers.

i m not usually for nerfing rights of independends, seeing that i am on myself - but i don t think its nerfing, but rather ... extending rights for playerfactions, while keeping the rights for indis the way they are. ... its a little treat for playerfacitons without putting independents down.

edit: mind, it applies to what i call "highly- hierachry- structured factions" like militaries, maybe corsairs ( don t know about outcasts... do they have a central leadership? or are they a bunch of drug barons ) .... BHG, zoners, IMG, GMG, etc. is different sort of. they are more individual orientated and don t rely too much on an order chain.
