"I have to send troublesome news. Today, a nomad invasion took place in omicron-delta. judging from the images i received from our satelite uplink, it was one battleship and two gunships that approached Freeport 11.

As that enemy fleet was way too much to fight against, i decided to stay hidden for the time being, not like i have much of a choice. the weeks in the nebula have cooled the reactor down some, and it would take hours to power it up to cruise again, - nasty old ships.

however, i was in direct communication with one corsair cruiser, that happened to be in the way of the nomads. as predicted, the nomads acted mostly passive to the absense of the persephone and the station itself was spared.

the corsair cruisers captain initiated a brave, but, i daresay too dangerous attempt to communicate with the alien beasts - against my advice. at first, there appeared to be some motion, as the captain "sensed" something like a reply, but after a little period of ... what i can only call, a time of consideration from the aliens, they attacked and disabled the cruiser within seconds.

so, in case you wonder where the corsair cruiser "mira" went, - it was attacked and destroyed by nomads today. - shortly after the destruction, the alien ships disappeared from the long range sensors of the satelite uplink.

nither freeport11, nor yaren outpost were attacked, - so it was most probably what i would call a "patrol" flight of those abominations.
