Taking the toys out of the indies hands into the official factions?
Sorry.
Ain't gonna happen.
Ever.
Not due to the inherent issues of bias and elitism that would without a doubt appear if that happened.
But due to the dev's/admins.
Let's face it. Today's MMO's, if you want something really frickin' shinny, you either pay for it or you join a faction/group/clan that obviously carry more benefits than being another nameless one in the crowd.
Why is that? Because they are Massive Multiplayer Online games.
It is meant to be played in groups. It's more fun in groups. They have pie.
All the cool and shinny toys and quests/missions and whatever, because that is what brings people to the games. Not idly sit alone in your frickin' +9000 level equiped toon/battleship and run like a headless chicken.
So yeah. Factions are dying because being an indie, you have the toys, you can go all blitzkrieg and being an a*******, as long you don't break the server rules, and you don't have a whole faction breathing down your neck to stay inrp.
Or Dusty's grams.
But that's a whole different level.
Thus, i conclude with the following reply to all of this.
Big whoop. You didn't need to be a clairvoyant to see where the mod's general direction was going and the consequences of it.

This is a community, we should all be about working together toward a better goal.
Ahahahahahahaha, oh well
Believe it, bub. Factions leaders have step up in the past. Didn't do jack'frickin'O.
