The Order's expirimentation with the early Bastet model laid bare several critical flaws in the design. The overequipped, but underpowered Bastet simply lacked the maneuverability and endurance to survive long enough to bring its firepower to bear. Order engineers redesigned the ship, using it's basic, proven frame for a new, more agile vessel. The resulting Bastet Mk II is mainly used for force recon in areas deemed too dangerous for Order interceptors, and regular escort patrols in lower risk areas.

You know, I actually got my hopes up with this one. Found tonnes of information, schematics, the whole lot. Wrote it all up and, yeah, turns out it was for the Mark I version. The one that the Order have since stopped flying. Thanks for that one guys, really. Anyway, as far as I can determine this bird's the Order primary combatant in most circumstances, though a few of the manuals we've got are still calling it a Heavy Fighter, the design really doesn't suit that classification, so I'm guessing the labeling is probably just the Order being the Order, and I've cataloged it accordingly.

So, pretty much the same deal as the Onuris here. If you find one these things floating around, it'd be awesome if you could bring it back so I can take a proper look at it.
