i'm pro invincible bases if it leads to development of player-driven dynamic economy:
all bases require Basic Alloy (what ever the new one is called, this is just an example).
Base 1 offers list price
Base 2 ofers list price + 10% as they are slightly further away.
traders would then fill the bases themselves. it would be great if we could set missions on planet erie for the new players to take - fly to the new london system and deliver the cargo to king's cross. (or on junker bases, fly to X system and deliver to the rogue id'd PoB)
