Something needs to be done about this.

EDIT: Something that doesn't involve deleting a potentially cool feature like POBs altogether.

If it needs change which will reduce number of bases, you can for example increase wear and tear damage. Let´s say double it. Or even triple it. That will make almost impossible to have base without at least several people involved (because I´m pretty sure there is lot bases at the moment created and maintained by just one or two players). This will quickly reduce number of bases because only dedicated group of players will be able to maintain them. It will also bring some roleplay because bases will turn into multi-faction projects (for example joint base of IMG and ALG which cooperates quite a lot even now) to reduce amount of grinding for each faction.

But hey, we should be sure that it is base plugin what makes really noticeable amount of lags. So we will not do this without serious reason.
