Well if your base can't stand to some lolcaps, maybe it deserves to be purged, because your base does not have the support required, altough create hassle for hostile faction. For example, falster is build in very annoyin location and would be first target for corsairs to annihilate.
I see bases as team oriented objectives which involves many players and produces a lot of circumstances which gives new opportunities for intresting roleplay. Problem is that when bases are too strong this game goes only to one goalnet, while other side is just being pushed down.
It's essentialy powergaming, rathar than something all people can get involved due to flawed mechanic. Eventually it adds up to killing activity as people are less motivated to play in such setting.
That's why I propose that bases could be killed a lot easier in special scheduled event time.
What takes 10 men to build should take 1 man to destroy, altough, this is a game and sides should be 50/50. Currently, once you build a base, it takes few people to maintain it if any, and 15 or more to destroy. This is just nonsense.
