If you don't want to play in broadly the same way as it seems the majority of Corsairs do, then perhaps consider becoming an outlaw?
Yes, you do missunderstand.
I do not require everyone to play their characters like I do mine. That would be really strange. I'm asking not to attempt to change corsair lore by smuggling in personal feelings into the game. These are wishful thinking that corsairs supposed to be noble people. They are not. You can play your character like that, if you want, but they are not such people. By denying this fundamental part of the lore you are skrewing up entire faction. It's not just some character in game rp decisions is altering of game setting.
And I would be ok, if this altering would be reasonable logical succession of vanila or preset corsair lore. But it just isn't. And what supposed "majority" feels like has nothing to do with how things supposed to be. If suddently great majority of oc players stop feeling like playing outcasts as drug dealers, they in roleplay setting will still remain drug dealers.
Same goes here. But big problem arises. I don't care if it would be just random council brainfart, but it seems that this brainfart is being pushed into corsair fundamental lore there it just not fit.
It's not about forcing me to play directly in some stupid way. It's altering the setting I play in which shouldn't be even able be altered by player actions.
One can play his hodor, drilling and big cohones moto corsair as long as he wants. But this should not be a preset for any other corsair character other players makes, unless it really makes a lot of sense for corsair lore to be developed into it. But it isn't. There is nothing what would suggest such notion of corsair development apart few players beliefs of feelings about the faction of what they want from it or what they want it to be.
