Scanner Technerfs - What does the community think?

I was tasked to rewrite the shipcompat plugin in order to properly implement scanners as they were intended.

I did my job as a member of the development team.

Now, I have a question. I have personally suffered a lot of excrement being flung at me and even more so being flung at my friends because we dared to have the balls to add a new mechanic, positivity being subjective, to the game. We don't get paid to do any of this. We get nothing out of it other than satisfaction that we're contributing to the game. Why the hell is this fair?

Should have expected it really, take it like a man. We have a saying in my country: Dogs bark while the bear calmly walks his path.

Then that goes for the community, too. We're doing stuff. Suck it up and keep walking or walk a different direction.

That's really not a good attitude to have Kaz, especially if you're a Dev.
You've basically given a big f*** you to the community.
