Greetings!
My name is Avery McCloud, currently a free-floating pilot operating in Liberty, where I grew up. Recently, it has come to light that my now-deceased father, left myself and what remains of the McCloud family, the means for us to climb our of the financial hole we've been in since the Nomad attack. Using this, my brother, cousin, and uncle, managed to procure a basic mining vessel, and went into the depths of Sirius to send back the credits back home to pay off the debt my family owes, and to bring our family back to a state of prominence we've lost.
This worked, and after just a few deep-space mining missions, we've been in the clear for a few months now. Using what money I had left over from their most recent transfer, I was also able to purchase myself a fighter craft, and began patrolling up and down all of Liberty and parts of Bretonia, chasing every hint and clue I can find as to my father's disappearance and presumably death. After 2 weeks or so, I found an old family friend, who had been there when my father was killed. It was a pirate raid on a small-arms convoy consisting of many of us McClouds, that had gone bad. The freighters, and every escort except 2, were destroyed, taking my father, and much of the rest of my family from the world.
The details of that aren't really that important however, but once I had my answers, I parked myself at Freeport 4, and sat in one of the observation rooms for a while, just contemplating what to do with my life, when I realized that I now had it within my grasp to explore the farthest reaches of space possible. This has long been a dream of mine, ever since first gazing into the stellar observatory that was in my hometown. More recently, I've grown more and more irritated with the way Liberty, and by extension the other houses, run themselves. LPI failed to find those responsible for the deaths of 70% of my family, they failed to smear the tarnish off a name that has been in Liberty since the founding of the colonies.
Long story short, I seek to get away from the colonies, and I'm willing to do much of anything to accomplish that. It was sitting on Freeport 4 that I read a little about your organization, and decided I would seek out membership. I've seen how the major houses run things, and I just feel that it isn't for me, and its about time that I left. I've had my fill of Liberty. I've had my fill of crime, and I've had my fill of the familiar.
Its time for me to see the stars.
If you wish, I can be contacted via neural-net by my fighter's call-sign, Avery_McCloud. Should I be set to-offline, much of any member of my family (look for the surname "McCloud"), or the crew of McCloud's_Legacy can put you in contact with me, all you have to do is ask.
Sincerely,
Avery F. McCloud
