This entire post is based on straw man-style arguments. You're not comparing like with like. You've selected a range of infocards of various age, of varying canonical acceptance, and have then even misinterpreted it in one case. Over-dramatization does nothing to aid your discussion, which lacks strong logical progression.
Furthermore, discussions of the finer aspects of Zoner lore are not the main focus of this thread. Please refrain from further comments that do not relate to issues pertinent to the original post.

"Your" station has a powergamed Guard system infocard. Omicron-74's station infocards were all toned down for the next update.
It's not only about it. Safe harbor can be given by any dock-able object - if one don't want to give a blue to the enemies he may choice to simply dock at station. The excessive firepower is not needed for the whole process, in fact, it don't promotes people ,actually, to dock or to fight but rather to stay undocked while having his tail to drop the chase because of stationary object's fire.
As I said I'm not staying on this and moves on to some more conceptual idea - this 'comfort zone' concept is destructive to activity because people are getting used to stick around those zones and don't moves on to some other areas because there are comfort zones of their opponents and they don't want to be in disadvantage from the start.
I will turn down the AI difficulty on the Battleship as an experiment to see how players' interactions change, if at all.

How could you move Yanagi from S13, oh you didn't move it, you erase it and it was vanilla station?
And you do have trouble to move Freeport 1, becouse it was vanilla station (bla bla bla bla bla bla bla) - ignore (bla if you feel offended).
Allow me to re-phrase my earlier comment, as I was evidently too ambiguous. What I meant was that I do not wish to significantly change Freeport 1's location relative to the other elements in the system. Its location is quite specific as it is located at a Trade Lane nexus between Cambridge, Omega-7, and Planet Sprague.
I did not say that I had a problem with changing vanilla content, if the change is justified. In the long term, there is no content (vanilla or otherwise) that is free from being changed, provided there is a good reason. For example, if we felt that it would be advantageous to completely redesign the layout of the New York system, we would do so; but for various reasons, that's not something we'd do right now.
