This lag occurred with 100 players+, same conditions were for the MTR.

I don't think that the MTR will provide you any information, I believe this lag occurs when the server tries to write information on the hard disk, maybe the hard disk is "tired" and needs to be replaced. Just a thought, maybe somebody will check the hard disk.

My personal opinion, stop the Freelancer server at all, for one hour or so, and perform a basic maintenance such as disk cleanup, defragmentation and so on PLUS a HDD reading/writing test. After this a complete reboot and restart the FL Server, maybe this will provide you better information regarding this issue.

MTR is not relevant at all, MTR shows only replies to pings (for who doesn't know, 32 bytes of data) compared with Freelancer network packets which are much much larger.

This issue can be caused by 3 things.

1.) The most simple to fix but I don't think this is the problem is related to the HDD fragmentation which can be fixed with a simple defrag.

2.) Network massive DDOS (I can provide a solution for this)

3.) Hard Disk failure (not complete, just high writing delays).

My best guess is the third option and since I know Hetzner pretty well (I was Hetzner customer for over a year), they will not replace a non-performing HDD. Which is bad, the only option is to order a new server and pay the setup fee once again.

Please perform a HDD check, for my own peace, because I am 99% sure this is the issue.
