Konnichiwa,
In this urgent news bulletin the results of the election have been released, we cross live to reporter Akira Itsuda at the National Diet building for this breaking story.
Earlier tonight the Kusari Electoral committee released the official ballot results for the general election.
It seems that the Democratic Party of Kusari has lost its majority control of the government and the Kusari Reformation party has lead the results becoming the largest party in the parliament.
Of course they will be forming a minority government so it will be interesting to see how they will handle leading Kusari in the face of the undoubtedly stiff opposition that the other parties will present.
The KRP controls the largest share of votes at 33% while the DPK has dropped to 22%.
The Sunrise party has also made some gains at the expense of the DPK, also gaining 22% of the votes.
In a surprise move, minor parties also fared well in this election with the White Lotus Party and the Inari Shrine Political Action committee each gaining 7% of the primary votes.
While the White Lotus Party is expected to offer it’s support to the Sunrise Party, experts say the ISPAC is likely to support the KRP as they may share some similar outlooks and goals.
Rounding out the results it appears that the Superior Ame Party, People’s Party of Kusari and the Kusari Liberal Party each made gains with 5,3 and 2% of the votes respectively.
We are waiting here at the National Diet Building for the speech of our new Prime Minister, Manabu Yukimura which should be starting any minute.
Manabu-san has been very popular in his role as Governor of Kyushu and many are questioning whether he can continue that popularity in his new position as Prime Minister of Kusari.
He was sworn in about thirty minutes ago and…
Ok here he is, he is getting ready to start.
Honorable men and women of Kusari, I thank you for your trust.
This is a monumental day for Kusari, the day where Kusari stopped taking steps back from ourselves.
This is the day that we looked at ourselves, our nation and what we can achieve, the day that we as one people said that we could not tolerate the mistakes that had been occurring almost daily within our beautiful homeland.
I am happy to say that my job of service to the people of Kusari starts right now.
There shall be no slacking or hiding from the people, the KRP believes in a decent, honest, transparent system of government that works for the people and holds the well being of Kusari as paramount.
While it may take some time to reverse all the bad decisions made in the past, we begin right here, right now.
As such I will be announcing my Cabinet by tomorrow morning and the first order of business shall be making Kusari a place we can all be proud to call our own.
For the other parties in this election I have this message.
The election is over, we all stood by what we believed and the people have chosen.
Now is the time to use this conviction of belief to strive together for a better Kusari, we have the mandate as supplied by the great people of Kusari to put aside our differences for their betterment.
And I look forward to working with you all.
To my wife Kyoko, I humbly thank you for your support throughout the years, you have been my biggest fan, my greatest critic and the rock that makes every action possible.
You have shown me time and time again what real strength is and I only hope I can live up to your standards.
To my children, Hideki and Miya, I am doing this for you, I am doing this so that the nation you grow up and live in is the greatest in Sirius.
A place of respect, safety and enjoyment.
And lastly, to my fellow compatriots in the Kusari Reformation Party.
We did it, now we have to really work for it.
You are the greatest, most upstanding people I have ever known, each of you are a paragon of Kusari and together we will change the world.
Thankyou.
That was Prime Minister Elect, Manabu Yukimura in his first speech as our new leader of parliament, time will tell how his government performs.
