If you dont have the physical representation of a battleship and dont have the muscle to back it up, how can you rp as a battleship in a fight?
That's like saying Bastet can be a battleship - so it must not leave the omicrons, but thats just a cheap example.


I can rp a super weapon and destroy the nomad lair, do I have that weapon? no - can I rp it ? Yes, will it take a physical effect? no, Can I prove it? no, why? because I dont have the representation of it.

Or a better one : I can rp 4 barges as 4 battleships against 2 REAL battleships, can I claim victory? Or will we end up dead ?

I proposed the thought as a solution to the "battleships are colony ships" arguement, not that we should replace battleships.

No, you can't have a representation of the colony ship, but with proper background RP and convincing commodities on board you can come pretty damn close.

You're just coming up with dumb situations to try and prove your point, but who would legitimately do that?

No, the very fact that you even bring up the possibility just to add even more intense pressure on the debate is what drives my point. Your point does not stand when it comes down to a person to -person encounter, no matter how many spaceship crews you have, you still dont have a battleship and you can't do a thing to prove otherwise. And if you really think that "pretending" makes your whale a "legit" battleship, you are wrong.

Want to do that? do it in the forums, where there is no requirement for an actuall representation, but you won't convince anyone out in space, because you will fail the test, and people will call your bluff.
