Removing the ship a lot of us use inRP correctly because of the actions of a few is a bit heavy handed.

From what I've gathered, it's just sort of a prejudice going on the players, kinda like racism but applied to a gaming choice instead of skin color. The almost ironic generalization of "Zoners" just reinforces the idea that all Zoners are the same, and pseudo-justifies the lack of courtesy expressed towards people who have Zoner characters.

I like to compare Zoner caps to the various Star Trek Enterprise's, because both while having the primary function and design of an exploration vessel, are often viewed by 3rd parties as hostile or invasion vessel due to "the firepower to destroy an entire planet". Zoner capitals are classified as battleships simply because Discovery lacks a seperate ship class for exploration ships such as the X-shuttle and the Nephilim. And then, since it i classified as a battleship then it is subsequently balanced as such, and then since it has warship stats it is then utilized by certain players as a warship, but while it may be 100% effective when used as a warship, it still isn't one. After all, what really matters is the player behind the wheel.

The argument that there are too many Nephilims in game is just wrong. As long as they're not all online simultaneously, it is my opinion that it is a good thing the colony ship roleplay isn't restricted to the elite few as happens with unique ships.

It's an apt comparison I'd say. Hence why I worry about it being replaced with this transport. I don't care if it has good stats for a transport. I have been RPing with the as a Nephilim, not as a battletransport. I don't have a lot, if any, forum RP on my ship so an SRP would be a tough sell. And I can't make a whole bunch of it now because then it just seems like I'm panicking.

The easiest path is to rebalance the Neph and Aquilon to be less useful in straight ship to ship combat. The colony RPers would be unaffected, the wutters would find themselves with a ship that is not such a powerhouse.

I've been seeing a number of responses to posts saying roughly, "This changes nothing, the battleship is still going away." Fine. Make it not a battleship, but leave the actual ship in the game.

To build upon your above Star Trek reference: Pic. Some people use the Neph as the Dreadnought(right). That should be stopped. I would like to use the Neph as it was intended. (In this case, the Enterprise(left))
