Christ, this crap again?

Right, so, this short-sighted nonsense comes up every other month or so, as though rolling back mod development will magically turn back time, too.

So here's what those who suggest it keep missing.

Things It Will Not Do:
  • It will not bring us back the many players that have left. Maybe a handful, but not enough to really be relevant.
  • It will not fix the system count nearly as much as some people think. Extraneous systems are already being culled, and in a far more thoughtful way than a blind ROLLBACK ROLLBACK I HATE NEW THINGS will.

Things It Will Make Worse:
  • Dev team burnout. "Hey, you know all that everything you've contributed to the mod over the last several years? We don't want it anymore, do something new for us now."
  • Inane screaming on the forums. If it works once, people will keep trying it in the future. Incidentally, important consideration if any of you start raising children.

New Problems It Will Create:

Things It Will Actually Fix:
  • Makes Gallia smaller.

That doesn't seem worth it at all.
