"thanks", she said as she picked one of the sushi - one of the few things she could actually eat coming from Kusari.
"Sounds like you favor imperial ditches... I've never been able to drink Sake. I mean, how can you drink hot alcohol..."
She decided the sushi decidedly tasted weird despite being good - but then, she would never get used at the fact she just ate some crude fish and whatever else they've put in it...
"I believe, working for Ageira lets you go pretty much anywhere, isn't it? All those trade lanes accross Sirius... you must have seen some amazing sights."
"Yeah, our work takes us just about everywhere." He replied. "I like patrolling the outer systems more than house systems, I'm not one for the political BS that tends to take place there."
He reaches for another piece of sushi, glancing at the race again.
"The asteroid and ice fields are quite a sight to behold, as are the nebulae. I usually explore those when I have some free time." He shakes his head, "Unfortunately, pirate activity is on the rise again, and R&R seems to be getting cut back."
"Luckily, I can pick my own routes to patrol, one of the benefits of being a high-ranking corporate lackey." he laughs."
The radio on his belt beeps and he turns to the girl. "Excuse me for a moment, feel free to help yourself." He motions to the platter as he gets up and walks away.
He returns in a moment and signals the bartender, ordering another shot.
"Gotta run, my ride is here." he says, downing the last of his ale. "Was good talking to you. Nice to actually see a friendly face around here. Be safe out there."
He downs his shot and looks at the bartender. "The rest is for you my friend." motioning towards the credit chip on the bar.
With a wave at the girl, he turns and heads out the door.
