Police Vs Navy

The nation's Military shouldnt enter capitals and big cities exept for in Martial Law. That is how it should also be in-game. If there is an invasion the Navy gets in, if not they should stay out of Core systems. The point is to prevent rising panic when civilians encounter military officers.

Except that 'space' is not a big city, it is merely territory which the capital planet is in.

For example, inRP, the Navy has nothing to do with patrolling and looking for criminals on Planet Manhattan itself, but to say that they shouldn't be in the space around that planet is, well...misguided.

That's what people seem to forget: Space is not a planet, space does not have regular common criminals, and the military patrolling in space is not equal to the military enforcing laws on planets.

Like I said in my previous posts, territorial space is like an RL nation's territorial waters.

The major differences being that people live in territorial space, on space stations and the like.

The ultimate point is that you wouldn't see a police force patrolling territorial waters, except in limited capacities, but it would mostly be Military vessels taking care of things out there.

Anyway, backread to see what I've said before on the issue, where I lay things out clearly and such...I really don't wanna repeat myself xD
