Good Evening All,

Just an update on the acquisition of the Defiant-class gunboats I discussed with Director Wood earlier. Long story short, it doesn't look like a goer. While the Bretonians would be amicable to us travelling through their space with them, the Navy isn't willing to disclose the ship's performance data. Without that information, I just don't feel we can make an informed decision on the purchase.

It might be worth trying another information request later on, preferably with a different Admiral, once we've built up our reputation a little more. Knowing the Navy, we're likely to get a yes if we annoy them enough. In the meantime, we should be able to make do with what we've got.
