//This is about as far as I can advance the story without actually having any ingame assets. The following entry is therefore purely theoretical and may be retconned depending on decisions made about this faction.

Exodus - 821 AS

We were dying. Surrounded by hostility, toxic poisonous space, completely unlike our former existence. When our sensors returned our prayers for locating iridium here, I decided it was time for us to leave the Temple behind. We would find our own way.

With radiation sickness slowly killing them and their iridium all but exhausted, the Temple was also slowly succumbing to the toxic environment of the system. To stay here was to ensure our extinction, Shard told them, and the survivors could not argue with his assessment. The last of the Etherium ships and assets were merged together, forming a mishappen beast of a vessel that could support their journey and sustain them for a short time upon their arrival at the target destination. It had but one purpose - to get them to this source of their lifeblood. This iridium was not only the source of their sustenance but also the prime element used in Etherium mass fabrication due to its high density and molecular makeup, suitable to be processed into many vital components, including fuel for further space travel. All they had to do was get there, and then the Empire could be built anew.

They would skirt the edges of the sector until they reached this promised hope. The seven bonded to the station - the "Crew" - refused to leave at first, even though they were dying. Their bond to the temple had allowed them to live thousands of years and their knowledge could not be abandoned. Shard knew that they were a valuable asset, and instead of them being left behind ordered that the new vessel be built around them.

This would be the new beginning or the end for the Etherium. Committed to this final act of primal survival, they left the Revenant and huddled in the immense darkness, praying for their very existence.
