**Incoming transmission**
To: Jack Archer

Mr Archer, how terribly good to hear from you. As it happens, there are some openings within the Privateers, so I'll happily accept your petition. Sadly we are in a bit of a state with regards to finances at present, so you'll have to supply your own ship, at least until we are in a position to refund you for your investment.

You'll start as a Lieutenant in the QCP. The Challenger is a fine ship, if a tad sluggish at times. I can also highly recommend the Hussar, my personal favourite.

Welcome to the ranks, dear boy. Do not worry about any misdemeanours in the past. You shall be judged solely upon your conduct from this moment forth.
