A dark shadow passes through the quiet streets of Times Square, Manhattan. A man, in his mid twenties, Victor Nova, was going home from work. He was in a hurry, which was clearly visible from the way he was taking quick strides. Mild panting sounds whirled through the empty streets.

He reached his apartments and didnt waste any time in locking his door again. He went straight to his room and reached out for the cupboard behind his bed. There was a bag inside it. He took out a syringe from the bag and calmed himself down to the extent that he wasnt panting anymore.

After a minute of silence, he was back to his normal self, the panting had ceased and he was sitting still in his bed. With a sudden flash of movement, he inserted the syringe deep into his forearm. He was in a sudden grip of agony, not by the pain of the syringe but by something that it contained within. The pain eased off and he was all alone, inside 4 walls that he calls his home.

*It was a bit rough today, could have been even worse. Maybe I should look for a job that does not require much work on the land. If I can get to the skies, I wont have to struggle through all of this, all of this hiding and secrecy. And probably one day I will* He thought to himself. He then, tidied up his rooms, hall and finished his dinner that he had prepared. After some regular news stuff, he went to sleep.

The syringe that he used, was lying on the floor along with a couple other syringes, on the corner of the room. In it were inscribed the words
