Weird idea of making Disco a lil more realistic

I love it how people cry rape when you take away 200K from them, but at the same time are easily willing to pay up to 15 million credits per bounty board kill. Hell, yesterday I got payed 25 million to shoot a transport. Talk about inflation. Are those 200K really going to rob you blind?

I don't think anyone's been complaining about losing 200k (but I may have missed that). With the current cost of ammo, restocking a fighter takes some 600k (mines, CDs, CMs, regens). So adding another 200k has no significance.
On the other hand, a gunboat or a transport currently has lower operating cost than a fighter which is ridiculous. So the hypothetical death penalty should be proportional to the ship/equipment cost.

The problem is adding a death penalty big enough to make players spend their piles of cash and feel the need to earn money would be atrocious for players who don't have said piles of cash and don't like powertrading all day. If you can solve this issue, then good.

So far, I like the idea when you get <100% health on equipment after ship loss. Mostly because the penalty correlates directly with the equipment cost.
