More hiding behind what you think is OP, as many do and get away with. special is what you made out of your character, and I based mine off of what was available at the time. Anyone could have done what I was doing. Its not my fault some players weren't smart enough to figure it out, or couldn't critically think past an infocard. OP is what people are labeling things they don't like because they never did it themselves (foolishly might I add). Cheetah thrusters shouldn't be on every ship in this case, and certainly not CAU's along this logic. But that would suck so its not happening. This change sucks too but no one whined about the other things since they all did them themselves. Well same for the BS scanners, except people that don't use them, or weren't, feel its their 'speshul' right to force others to play the game the way they want, and in a way that conveniently works best for them. If you disagree, you are a cancer killing disco. *rolls eyes*
You really expect me to believe you wanted traders or pirates to lose BS scanners because you were losing sleep over what was on the infocard, and how it was therefore OP? HAHA no you guys hid behind that term to get others to lose their range and make it easier for you to get cheap thrills off the kills. Plain and simple. I do not support changes for that reason, and any other purported reason is a total lie.
For the record, I was no 3milordie pirate, i think i rp'd decently and could play very well, ask anyone who plays with me regularly. no one I know had ever complained that me having a BS scanner directly killed their gaming experience or RP. And there was no way in hell i'd ever think that other ships doing the same were killing mine. I learned to compete, not whine. My whining comes after the fact. I don't blame anyone for staying, but don't be surprised if one day that one thing that you really enjoyed about the game is changed to give someone louder than you an advantage over you that they could not achieve themselves. I see players that are great at RP'ing, who suck at the gameplay aspect (since it is a video game, not D&D) and couldn't handle losing sometimes.
