Scornstar, you gotta understand that I speak only for the TAZ, and they hardly ever listen. As to the rest of the "Registered" Zoners, I never asked for nor ever wanted to be the bloody King of the Zoners; so I welcome, nay, expect others to voice their opinions, agreements or misgivings as well.
Point by point.
1) It's only reasonable that Zoner npcs be your enemies... thanks for that. However, you only mentioned "combat" units, so am I to assume that your traders and support craft won't be hostile to Zoner npcs?
2) Fair enough.. that's pretty much the rule now.. or at least a "gentleman's rule" on the server.
3) This is stretching it a bit. Especially with the large variety of players who are now tagged Zoner. Best keep it to the stock server rules, as Zoners can never decide on anything. Ya die, then you and your other "incarnations" are out of it in that system for 4 hours. Period.
4)I really don't understand what you're saying here. If you're saying that both Zoner and Harvester trade and support vessels are subject to "wartime" rules and attack, then I'd have to stipulate that only "Registered" Zoners should be affected. (While I wouldn't mind seeing this as a way of culling "faux" Zoners by makin' them soil their knickers, I wouldn't really be able to sleep at night if I unleashed you on 'em.)
If you're saying that the combatants' trade vessels should be immune to attack, not sure about that either. We both know that Flax (or in your case, bioforms and junk) fuels the war machine. Escorts to the ready, and Eris bless the poor merchant, primate or digital, that ventures out alone.
5) Meh. Obviously, you expect your members to know the story and the rules of engagement. If a Zoner can't be arsed to get his ducks (ID, IFF, Forum awareness) in a row... maybe he deserves to be "harvested".
Zoners can pass the word, inform others of the danger, offer aid and escort, and if the sunday "zoner" still wants to hide behind his ID and tag, and ignore this wonderful opportunity to RP, then tsk, tsk. But perhaps we ultimately need an Admin ruling on this point.
6) Again, gentleman's rules. I think we're all mature enough to assess each encounter that might fit this category.
I just realized that statements 4 and 5 clash a bit. All the more reason for more feedback.
If all else fails, we can always fall back, and make this strictly a TAZ/Harvester event, thereby making a huge consensus unnecesarry.
