Buffer systems ruined everything. The evidence is there that they should be removed.
It's like throwing nuts in the face of someone who has nut allergies. They're obviously in discomfort and you should probably stop throwing nuts at them, however you ignore their pleas for you to stop and you continue to make their allergy worse.
