For the past two mod updates, .86 & .87 respectively, Bretonia has faced the onslaught of the Gallic War Machine, and to this day, has left pilots on all sides virtually in a rut. For the past few months since I took the helm of the BAF, things have gone from bad, to worse, to stuck. The same record being played over and over. I have even discussed recently with the leaders of several factions, The Mollys, the GRN and members of the War Cabinent on ideas and events we could work up, yet to no avail as each one was shot down.
To this point, I have decided to make public some of the ideas given forth:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event 1. Molly Independence of Dublin.
This was a goal I had put into thought all the way back in 2011, (God we're old) At that point of time, Jeni was in charge of the Mollys and the helm of the BAF was in Dab's hands. From what I heard the point of independence was given thought, but came to a point in which what was discussed turned sour fast. My ideas however were different and more open to discussion and flexible in terms.
Quote:1) Mollys Independence of Dublin , Londonderry, and 10k around any Molly Sation not in Dublin/Londonderry.
2) Molly Law is the Law of those areas. (To be further explained)
3) Withdrawal of Essex to the Leeds Jumphole in order to assist protection of the system from Gallic Incursion.
4) Graves station is to have a Bio-Dome constructed for assistance to the food supply of the region.
5) Arranmore is to become open to Bretonian Corporate trade vessels ONLY (Exluding BMM) to help jumpstart commerce with the Dublin Republic and with the express permission beforehand from the Molly Council
The first is mostly a given but can be flexible. One idea was to apply the Republic of Dublin into a Bretonian Protectorate. This notion is probably the most effective and agreeable. The second applies with the first notion.
The third can be easily done as to show BAF support in helping to protect the system still, seeing as it move closer towards the Hood to assist in IMG operations of defense.
Option Four is both symbolic and political outside of effectiveness, seeing at the Molly rebellion started on Graves, it would end with Graves. Details on this would be to turn the IFF of Graves from BMM to a Bretonian company such at Gateway or Bowex. The Biodome would assist in the food production of the area and surrounding systems, feeding the area's populace as seeing that the Molly's as a whole have only 1 source of food they can grow upon one of their stations in Londonderry.
Option Five is a natural given to begin a starting point for trade between the Mollys and the rest of Bretonia. If things worked out to the better, this would expand to other stations including Poole and Londonderry itself.
For the notion of this, one man said and I quote "To give the Molly's their independence would kill the faction, therfore their main goal is forever unobtainable" unquote. To counter that, Some ideas have come forth, the most favorable is to allow the Mollys to be a sort of Privateer faction, allowing them to do what they do best, plunder, mine, or get drunk (or all three at the same time), and yet continue to find a new path in which to progress themselves in.
Again. All of this is debatable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Event 2. "Doolittle" Raid on Corsair turf.
This was an event I literally thought of in my sleep. Considering the relations in which the RHA/BAF have, it would become a joint operation on Omicron Gamma itself. With a tiny window to work, 5-10 minutes tops, both forces would assault a pair of targets in Gamma. Tripoli Shipyard for the BAF. Skiros for the RHA. Both groups would be assigned a total of 4 bombers and 2 fighters in an surprise attack. Damage to each station would be measured in the amount of Nova's that make contact, ranging from Minor (1-5) to Major (20-25). In the short amount of time, it was either you hit your targets and run, or become trapped and taken hostage. Further RP would commence from the outcome. While it may not sound like much, such an act would become a morale boost to Bretonian and RHA forces given the scope of the operation.

This is an event which in how I hear, inevitable. The one incharge of each Bretonian Lawful faction would hate to be in such shoes, but seeing it would have to happen no matter who was in charge. When this would happen, is unclear. After recent talks with the head of the GRN, we both concluded that both sides have felt the storyline to become stagnant and tired of the same. Anyone can agree to such over the past few years that this is a constant truth. Same with the downfall of talks to end the Liberty-Rheinland War. The details on this would need to become discussed as as of late, a conditional surrender would be appropriate. Unconditional would simply lead to more stagnation on both sides as some people would want to continue to fight, thus dragging things on at the near dead pace it currently is.
Simple Pew Events, such as other places seem to be having, only lead to a short spike in activity for so long, then become stagnant again as seeing that little comes from the outcome no matter how large the fight.
So for the community to think upon all that has been spoken, or not spoken, what events would one think for Bretonia and the surrounding areas.
