I assume it's because the Bretonian lawfuls don't want to feel like they've 'lost'.
This was one of the points I brought up when Bret initially took this idea to me on Skype, and it looks like I was bang on the money
Watching FallenKnight quote iRP things that happen to Bretonia as ooRP travesties pretty much cements the general inability of Bretonian lawfuls - as a rule - to keep separate iRP and ooRP happenings.

I want to know how you think BAF| in particular would be rendered 'useless' if a Gallic occupation of Bretonia went ahead, bearing in mind that nobody is trying to (or wants to) kill off Bretonian lawfuls in this hypothetical scenario.
You lose a war front with Gallia, same as Gallia does with you, but the Molly and Corsair fronts both stay open. In my experience, Bretonia never made much use of the Gallic side of shooting things anyway (to say the least). Meanwhile, you gain a new RP avenue similar to that of Kusari (i.e. disgruntled oppressed folk) but with more 'bite' to it, given that Kusari was never explicitly occupied by Gallic forces due to not forcing a protracted conflict.
If you honestly think I am stupid enough or hateful enough to push for BAF/BPA/Bretonian lawfuls in general to fall into obsolescence, and for their ZoI to be gobbled up and assimilated into a mere expansion of GRN/GRP/Gallic lawfuls' interests, then you have greatly misjudged me.
Finally, people need to calm down and realise that this is one idea being floated by one guy, even if said guy is the leader of the BAF| at the time being. Nobody is storming in to take Bretonia apart.
