Keibu Matsuda here. Our patrol started in orbit of New Tokyo, where we were monitoring the lanes, with a Freelancer transport carrying Helium-3, a commodity which's ferrying is illegal to unnafiliated ships. The Freelancer was uncooperative at best, ignoring all of our warnings and obeying none of our orders, going as far as to try to escape from us. Unfortunately, the vessel preferred to crash into orbit rather than surrender. The debris were confirmed to have burned up upon entering the atmosphere and no damage was caused to the planet.

This left us with a sizeable amount of Helium-3 floating in orbit, which we secured with the Otsuchi. Not wanting these to go to waste, we contacted the Liberty Navy to see if we, Junsa-Bucho Kojima-san and Ishikawa-san, could secure the cargo ourselves. The Navy Officer, a certain Hudson Ravis, was our escort through Liberty space, who also decided to double out as a tourist guide for us. Aside from an enemy contact that swiftly ran from the scene when it spotted our convoy, the travel to Pittsburgh was peaceful, and the goods were safely transferred on planet.

Our return travel was much the same, with only a swift detour to the crown jewel of Sirius that is Manhattan (a stunning sight, I might add) before heading back to Shikoku, where Ishikawa and I then proceeded to Honshu from. To our surprise, we found a facility which was not registered under the Codex. It only took a few moments for Kishiro to arrive on scene and explain us the situation, that the Government had approved the building of the station in secret for security concerns. Apparently, the Naval Forces were aware of the situation as well. Considering our duty to secure the commerce of Kusari, I believe we should've been warned as well. Perhaps we should raise the matter to the Government.
