"Tomorrow will be better," he said softly as he held her, "for now, at least let me escort you to your room."
He took her to his side, tightly holding her as they made small talk on the way up. He was relaxed and warm and he knew she was based on her smile. They went up the stairs to her room, that spacious room that he had opted her to stay in. It would be more comfortable for her. In the ceiling was a skylight window to look out into the sky.
"As daylight approaches, it automatically shades so that if you choose to sleep in a bit, you won't be awakend by the day," he indicated as he pointed to it.
He brought her to the bedside and stood before her, his hands on her sides.
He again kissed her and smiled, "I just hate to have to leave you alone here but the southern gentleman in me sees it as proper."
With that, he slowly started to back away.
