AW-Enterprise. Docked at Freeport 11, Omicron Delta.

Korrd was on his ready room. At least his body was there. His mind was on the other side, watching the events occuring in NY. Seeing humans passing to the other side as they died.

He was meditating....
During 800 years i've watched over the humans. Hiding them from the outside. The other races in this region of space would see them as an infection that needs to be removed. Or a prey, or a toy... Fortunately, the most violent races haven't detected them yet, or they would have been wiped out long ago.
Damn humans... They had the whole galaxy to go. But they had to land in this place. The most violent place of all the galaxy...

The Nomads found them by accident. Something i couldn't avoid as that time i was a normal human.
They are hunters. They found a new prey to hunt. To have fun with.

The C'Tan... the soul devourers, as old humans knew them. They feed on humans since inmemorial times... They didnt know the humans were here, until the nomads started the killing frenzy...
They were atracted to the killing frenzy.. They started feeding on the souls of those killed by nomads.

They are working as a team now. The nomads kill them, the C'Tan ate them.
I never thought they could cooperate in that way...

But why are Nomads and C'Tan interacting with some humans? That is a mistery. They have never interacted with his prey... his food...

Humans cannot stop them. They are still too primitive. they have no way to attack the C'Tan, as they are not on this side.. They can kill Nomads tough, but the nomads they have found are the weaker ones.

This time i will have to interfere. The elder ones will never reach this place before humans are destroyed.

I might be forced to wipe the "enlightened ones" and all C'tan and nomad influence on this sector...
But not now. There is not the time yet.

If they only knew. If they only knew they are being used to...

A beep comming from the comm system disturbed his line of thought..
Korrd returned to his phisical form, and pushed a button on the comm console.

Comm Officer --Sir, we are receiving a signal from Dab. Audio only.
Korrd --(returning to his body) Put it through.
Korrd --Lord Captain.
