Dude, you're 16 years old. Most people can hardly make a decision over whether or not they went cereal or toast in the morning at any point in their life... You're looking at joining the forces, and you've literally only just finished secondary school.
A lot of friends of mine thought the same. They thought it'd be a good career path, or they'd get some discipline in their lives, or that it looked like fun, or that they wanted to feel like they were 'part of something'... So some of them joined up. Some of those people ended up in Iraq and Afghanistan. Two of them didn't come back, and the ones that did come home are now deeply unhappy people.
