I will be looking to start implementing a minimum time commitment of 1-2 hours each month of activity on a marked Gateway ship. If you feel that this is too much of a commitment for you...then it is most likely that you need not be in an official Gateway faction. Indie work would probably suit you just fine. Not saying this to be mean...but I think it's a waste of folks' time to over-commit themselves to too many factions, or even to one faction that you really don't have time to put forth.

Edit: If you feel that you COULD keep up with the 1-2 hour per month activity level, but perhaps not until the FALL due to RL Summer schedule, let me know and we can work with you on that.
