Lets imagine that someone decides to donate $10,000 and someone decides to make a video that generates 1,000,000 views. Now lets imagine that just 20% of that 1,000,000 people decide to donate $1 each. That 20% would have donated a combined total of $200,000. This probably doesn't happen in every case, some videos may lead to people donating a bit more or a bit less but it's still more money than if the few people that originally had known about it donated $10,000 each.
