The misfortunes of Oliver Gunther

Somewhere deep in Rheinland space..


...Where am I?.......................This place...is unknown to me..................................................................

Who am I?...........Can't remember.........I feel.....so far away....And yet....Never felt this close in my life............

Life.............Am I alive?....Or not?.......I don't know.........

I hear......noise.....trying to...........contact me?.........


"Oliver? Snap out of it!"

*Gasp!*

"Pay attention Oliver! you almost got your cockpit blown off!"

Just now realizing he ws in the heat of battle, Oliver pulled his Valkyrie into a 180 tailspin, narrowly avoiding the Red Hessian's rain of fire. Slightly disorented, he sprang into action, shooting in the general direction of the ship that had just attempted to rip his ship in half. Ok, back on focus, Oliver. Having now recovered from his "dream," Oliver was on that Hessian like mad, throwing everything he had at it, because he wasn't too happy that the guy flying that ship had personally tried to kill him..

He flew after the assailant, pushing his ship to the very limit. He finally got in enough shots to make the Hessian run into one of the asteroids, completly annihalating his ship. Seeing this, the other Hessians decided to break from their current targets and face him. Setting his rear turret for auto-fire, Oliver started to dodge the never ending wave of plasma and lasers coming at his ship.

"Hold on there Gunther, we're coming!"

Momentarily distracted, two of the Hessians got blown to bits by Oliver's wingmen, leaving only two left. Realizing the fight was lost, the Hessians fled the scene, leaving their fallen comrades behind.

"Hey Oliver, what happened back there?"

"I, don't know.."

"Well then, don't worry about it, we've got a patrol to get back to.

"Patrol... Right."

"Hey, you sure you're alright?"

"Yeah, I should be fine, I guess I just lost my cool, but I'm fine now."
