Order ships had not been sighted for the last 72 hours so it was safe for exiled Popes to return to the system... or so Gyp thought.

They're out there somewhere, we gotta find out what they're doing in Baffin. We'll split. You'll be cloaked, don't want to put you or the Telemakhos in unnecessary danger. The veteran Junker looked at Gypsie and studied him. The guy had a loose screw somewhere in his head, he was at times unpredictable, and perhaps too skinny, but he had some balls, ambition and above all, always looked forward. James Trenton simply nodded. His part was to fly the Sallie, Zoner or Junker flagged, there was no one more capable in the whole sector for the job.
