Salvager and Raba regen counts: too high?

Well apparently someone is upset that he cannot pirate salvagers.

Yep. There's your problem with the Salvagers balance. Even when I fly my own Salvager I have an extremely high rate of survivability. I just have too many regens.
So lets change them up then, please, let him pirate them so he can be happy.

P.S. Just because you cannot take on a salvager or raba and win, it doesn't mean that it cannot be done.

Oh it can be done, under the basis that the pilot of the salvager is absolute moron. It still takes a considerably longer amount of time in comparison to other medium transports. Anyone with a brain can fly a Salvager and survive encounters easily though, due to the high amount of regens the vessel has.

You get the same result if you use a bomber. Gunboats are easier, but if the Salvager shoots back you've got to turn, which will decrease your distance between you and your target (because Gunboats thrust at a slower speed than medium transports). A cruiser would probably struggle a lot more than with other transports, I wouldn't be suprised if Salvagers/Rabas could easily crawl away from such an encounter on the lanes though. (When are salvagers going to face off against cruisers though? lol)
