LAWYERS were the reason my son spent a year in the court system for defending himself. Thank you for the clarification that the reserves are a privately funded organization instead of one funded through taxpayer dollars. I also see that "lawyer" in your lingo is the same as "politician," although in the latter case, you're more than welcome to run for office and change things how you see fit. And as for your son, I am deeply sorry that the government's duty to prosecute and the accused's right to defense in a criminal case protected by our Constituion is so offensive to you and your family. Seems your beef is with your employer.

If you'd like to apply a blanket stereotype to an entire profession, it is your right to do so. Although I would expect more from an adult when it comes to taking your frustrations out on a flood post asking about "what people do for a living" on a forum for a decades old space simulator.
