The DaemonS and The Seraphim

This looks like you took some of the lore from Supreme Commander and tried to make a Freelancer faction with it. Imports are generally frowned upon here.

EDIT: Actually, upon another look it is probably coincidence.

I can see that as well actually and was one of the first things that went into my mind.

From supreme commander:
The Seraphim are peace loving aliens that follow something called 'The Way' They initially help humans to become 'enlightened' like them. A small group of humans follow them and there is peace between the species, however soon xenophobic soldiers attack them.

Later on the alien returns, forming an alliance with the radical elements from that small group of humans that initially followed them, now called 'The Order' The aliens then try to kill the rest of humanity to attain perfection.

Or, at least that is my shortened version of things - but I must say this does sound familiar in some aspects.
For example: they want peace and unity, they think themselves to be pure and that they have attained perfection, they are highly intelligent and they respond in kind when attacked.

Edit: The second 'Demons' faction also seems to take after the 'Aeon Illuminate' quite a bit, well especially in the first Supreme commander game, in Supreme commander forged alliance this view that they have changes quite a bit.
