I'm sorry about the absurd subject line, but my transmissions may be traced and this seemed a good way to avoid the LSF's message filters. My name is Glenn Thacker, formerly a gunnery officer aboard the Navy Gunboat Speedwell. I graduated West Point with honors, and served the navy faithfully, at least at first. As time went on, I began to realize that maybe I wasn't really fighting for what I thought i was. Many of our targets were questionable at best, but the orders were always clear. Captain Wright, and our LSF "Security" Officer Lt. Mendoza, made sure we followed them.

I tolerated this until one mission about a month ago when we were ordered to destroy a luxury liner. They claimed that a leader of the Xenos was aboard. Following these orders would have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians, but we were told that it was necessary for "Liberty security". That was the final straw, I would not be a party to murder. Captain Wright pushed me aside, and fired the weapons himself, destroying the liner and all aboard. For this, i drew my sidearm and shot him right there on the bridge.

After this, I remember nothing but waking up in the brig on the Battleship Missouri. Lt. Mendoza must have shot me with that stun pistol he carries. Either way, I found myself waiting for an LSF Armored Transport to take me to a prison station in Alaska, no court martial or anything. Fortunately, there were a few members of the Missouri's crew who knew my situation, and sympathized. They helped me escape and put me aboard a "stolen" starblazer (which i've since gone over from stem to stern trying to find any and all tracking devices).

At this point, I've got no one and nowhere to go. I want to join the Xenos and rid Liberty of it's corruption, both foreign and native born. I want to fight for whats right, the reason I misguidedly joined the Navy in the first place. I want to see a better day for everyone.

I await your reply. I'm not sure how long I can survive on my own...
