Vaelin landed the shuttle in the smouldering ruins of an outpost, the corpse of the building depicted the evidence that an explosion had rendered which was once a ‘safe’ house as nothing more than a husk of debris, like the many others there was a lack of bodies, suggesting either the occupants had been captured or had escaped although as to their health unknown for the device had obliterated any and all evidence. To the surrounding space there was no sighs of combat suggesting that what had happened was contained within the small complex.

At the centre of the ruins he would always find a recorded message from his ‘brother’ or which had once been his brother, they had been at odds since the start holding on the opposite spectrums of moral, Vaelin had been one to seek harmony and his brother one to seek chaos, though what his brother had become was something entirely different from himself, the risk of him reverting back was too much to risk, it was his responsibility. The messages were always begging to give him a chance that he was a better person, though it seemed sincere Vaelin had always had the implacable feeling that there was more to the situation than a simple path of redemption, maybe it was because his eyes and the way he seemed to be was completely different to who he was, no one changes so completely.

Whatever the purpose of targeting this place was, it was apparent that he would not find the cause, the trail of his brother had been something that was hard to follow and without the tech available to him, he’d of easily been thrown off due to the vastness of space covered. “I will find you little brother.” Leaving the ruins to the elements, Vaelin boarded the ship that he had procured from a incident with a thug of a man. He returned to the ship cloaked just outside Cambridge orbital defence grid, the AI guiding his ship into the hanger back. “We are getting closer.” The AI didn’t respond and for now they waited to see what trace they would find this time, finally they were nipping at his heels.
