November 01, 821 A.S.
Konnichiwa, people of Kusari, we've had a busy week on all stages and it's not over yet. Political changes, armed conflicts, military exercises and news from the other side of Sirius. We'll discuss about all of them right now, on KTNA.

We have a new Cabinet. The Kusari Reformist Party, who won a great portion of your votes during the recent Parliamentary elections, were responsible for naming the ministers. I'm informed that Prime Minister Yukimura is announcing the members that will form the new cabinet. We're transmitting live from New Tokyo.

"Konnichiwa ladies and gentlemen, esteemed Councillors and members of the press.

As you are aware the Kusari Reformation Party has emerged from the last election as the strongest candidate for government within the Republic of Kusari.
As such the responsibility to form said government falls squarely on our shoulders along with the duty of forming a cabinet to foresee the day to day running and to ensure our Republic is represented to the Sirius community in the manner it deserves.

It is only through a united voice and strength of conviction that we may guarantee Kusari is heard and understood by our neighbors which we must share Sirius with.

A Cabinet is not just a group of people, it is a collection of professional, motivated individuals that take on an important portfolio to streamline what is needed by our people and conduct the various duties required of them in their service to the government and the people of Kusari.

It represents the top ministers of the land and those that take on the highest burden of being a present face of responsibility for the government and work tirelessly on coordinating and directing the numerous actions required for our nation to prosper.

Each one of these Ministers has my full respect and gratitude for their desire to rise to the occasion of long hours fulfilling their thankless duties while following the mandate of the people even in the face of criticism from those that either to fail to understand the difficulties of the job or those that complain they would do better while not even standing up to take responsibility in the first place.

It is not an easy job to do, but I can assure you that when you walk the streets of Kusari and see the changes you have helped create for your people, it is the most rewarding.

So moving on, allow me to introduce you to the new Cabinet of the Republic of Kusari:
  • Prime Minister - Manabu Yukimura
  • Deputy Prime Minister - Itsuki Sato
  • Minister of Defense - Shinobu Inada (retired Kaisho)
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs - Makoto Yamada
  • Minister of Trade and Economy - Sadao Kimura
  • Minister of Mining and Industry - Daichi Hashimoto
  • Minister of Employment and Social Services - Yoshi Ishigaki

While some may question my decision to place a member from another party into our Cabinet, Minister Ishigaki has led a spotless career in his terms as elected official for the Republic of Kusari.

Our party and the Peoples Party of Kusari have our differences in what we believe is the correct path for a brighter future, but there are few people in existence that have more conviction when it comes to those of our citizens that need the most help.

Our job is to look after each and every citizen to the best of our ability, from the richest business owners to the poorest people who have had times of bad luck and may not find themselves where they wish to be, I have every faith in Minister Ishigaki’s ability to help define a new future for the less fortunate and help to raise their spirits with serious social reforms that this great nation is in need of.

The Kusari Reformation Party believe that this gesture goes a long way towards showing the people that their interests are at the forefront of our mandate and we listen to what the people want.

With this transition to a standing Cabinet to represent Kusari, it is my pleasure to announce the Republic of Kusari is open for business."

Let's have another look at our new cabinet...

Of course, it is clear now that KRP needed an ally to form a majority and the ally was revealed now, with the naming of Ishigaki-san as Minister of Employment and Social Services. I'd say it is a good decision. After all, PPK has a doctrine that can do wonders in the field of social services.

Naming a retired KNF officer as Defense Minister might cause some friction with the more... democratic groups. His visions might be a little too militaristic but time will tell.

The second topic for today is about a military cooperation between Kusari Naval Forces (KNF) and their guests, the Gallic Royal Navy (GRN) and Rheinland Military (RM). The Nebula Complex, a freelance installation in the Kyushu system, is what brought them all together.

The Nebula Complex, lead by Malakai Yakuza, a freelancer with kusarian origins, was investigated by the Kusari Police for more than a month for illegal activities. The base was built without having the right papers but that situation was solved without the need of the armed forces. It appears that the demolition destruction was taken after the investigators found the base to be selling illegal cloaking devices and other secret technology, outlawed by the Kusari Legal Codex.

The initial attempt was done two days ago but the lack of coordination between all three navies, that fought for the first time in history side by side, allowed the defenders to "hold their ground". A secondary wave, this time exclusively comprising Naval Forces ships managed to break through the shields of the installation and put an end to their illegalities.

It was the first massive fleet operation after the short war against the Royal Forces. Here are a couple of photos publicize by the KNF.

And finally, the Sirius Coalition terrorist state has announced a change in leadership. The former leader, known as Premier Anatoliy Cherdenko was removed during a coup, along with several members of his inner circles. The reasoning behind this were allegations of corruption, A new "Premier" was appointed by their governing body known as the "Duma". The new leader is a known terrorist that received several commendations for his acts against Sirius and former Alliance houses. He released the following statement through their propaganda channels known as Volgograd News Agency:

"It is with great humility that I accept this honour bestowed to me by the people of the Coalition, it is a task I do not take lightly for there are many outside our great nation who would see our glory brought down and twisted into a copy of the corrupt House Ideals that plague our sector.

However I vow to preserve our culture, our ideals and dreams for a glorious shining future where mankind no-longer suffers under the yoke of those who believe themselves our betters. Children will no-longer have to beg in the streets for food only to be ignored by well-dressed nobles and businessmen who only care about lining their pockets, men and women will not have to live in crates due to poverty and lead long productive lives due to our superior welfare and health-care programs. We will be strong, we will be united, but most of all we WILL be free!"

What can I say? He's dedicated... Hah. That was all for today, gentlemen and ladies. Have a nice evening!
