welp when i first started out here, and if someone pulled me to the side to teach me roleplay, i would think that disco roleplay was the gayest thing ever.

my advice is to teach the guy the basics of staying alive and getting away, including stuff like how to evade and type at the same time. try some 2 v 2's where you don't focus the new guy down and give him a taste of success and show him how useful an extra gun/ship is, even if it's a new player behind the wheel. then show him yber's guide if he is interested in learning more pvp stuff.

then forget about conn for a while and go play on the server. if he tags along, he'll see how you guys deal with stuff and roleplay and whatnot, while also having fun at the same time. the best way to learn is to jump right in, and if he's under the wing of more experienced player's he'll do fine.
