New alliance

We did talk about SF alliance the moment when you wished to claim Kusari. I said that, in spite of Kusari and Bretonia being at war (or close to that), you may not be at war with SF, but you cannot ally with them either.

As DVL is an 'official' Kusari faction with New Tokyo home system, allying DVL with SF (official Bretonian faction) becomes absolutely illogical (or gay, as you would say) in the context of our mod.

Kusari and Britonia are at war. SF is a BRITONAIAN faction. The DVL are a KUSARI faction. See the problem here?

Well you see the SF is a bretonian clan, and the DVL is a Kusari house clan. Bretonia and Kusari are supposed to be at war or at the brink of war.

Ok, let me try and explain here...

The given:
-Britonia and Kusari are very close to, if not actually at, war.
-SF is a britonian based clan.
-DVL are a kusari based clan.
-Discovery is a role-play server.

What seems to be not-understood:
-Since this server is a Role-play server, the player faction correspond to their NPC equivilents (If any).
-Because SF is Britonian based, their diplomacy would reflect the Britonian Armed Forces relations.
-Because DVL is Kusari based, their diplomacy would reflect the Kusari Navel Forces relations.
-If the two NPC factions go to war, then the corresponding PC factions could not be allied and have it make any sence.

Got it? Good.

I agree with Igiss... DVL cannot have an alliance with SF as long as the role play for the server pushes Bretonnia and Kusari to war.

And I want to know why it took all 6 of these posts saying there can be no alliance for it to get through.

You cannot fly through tau 31 or tau 29 WITHOUT seeing the britonian navy patrols fighting the kusari navy patrols. Especially near the JGs, it should be obvious that theres something going on between them.
