"I don't know what looks worse... the ship... or its pilot... so I guess I can just assume."
This startled her, she flinched and turned around to face him, brushing a few loose strands of hair out of her face. It didn't take her long to get the emotionless expression she had before back. She knew there was no way of hiding how bad she looked and without thinking, she wiped at her lip again. This did nothing to help and it was still stained with blood.
"The ships in pretty bad shape, but it will be fine. Hasn't failed me yet." She smiled slightly, but she sounded like she was trying to convince herself of what she was saying rather then informing him of the situation. "It's nothing, really."
She noticed his beard and couldn't help but think that he kind of suited it. She still liked his hat. Shaking her head, she tried to brush the memories away. She was here to make sure he was still alive and to get him home so he wouldn't die out here, not to start something that he didn't want. Despite everything, she still cared.
"How is yours holding up?" She asked, glancing in the direction of his ship was, she didn't know what else to say. Meeting him face to face had thrown her more then she had expected.
