She frowned slightly, seeing him look her up and down. She rubbed at her lip again as she waited for the questions. She crossed her arms across her chest covering some of the blood on her shirt. She didn't think it was that bad, but his reaction told her otherwise. As the adrenaline began to wear off, she began to notice just how tired she was, and sore. She tried not to do anything to show this, but she was unable to stop herself from holding one of her hands protectively over her left side where the pain was bothering her.
"You're quite busted up yourself too, you know... and don't tell me its nothing..."
His touch caught her off guard, she wasn't sure if it was the physical contact of the fact he still cared enough to want to make sure it wasn't that bad. She shook her head slightly as she decided there was no point in trying to hide anything from him if he asked. He was always able to tell when she wasn't telling him the full story. She hoped he wouldn't care enough to question what had happened.
"It is nothing...." she mumbled, turning her head away as he had expected her to. With a slight shrug she dropped her gaze, now looking at the ground. She was still quiet as she continued to speak "I'm still alive... Be it a good thing or not is up to you."
