I offered a fair 3 vs 3, after it became obvious that the Corsairs responded in much larger numbers. That happens. Normally, Rheinlanders respond fast and have Cruisers and GBs there fast. So I offered a 3 vs 3 in roleplay:

It became clear that an oorp player-player agreement would have to be made to make the one player understand that it was an offer of a fair 3 vs 3, even though more Corsairs were present. So I did that.
